What does an average electric bill look like
Electrical appliances are rated in watts (W) or kilowatts (kW) and it generally means the higher the rating, the more electricity the appliance will consume per hour. Your electricity consumption is measured in kilowatts hours (kWh) where one unit is equivalent to 1 kWh.
To calculate the electric consumption per month, you simply multiply your electric rate (price per kilowatthour) by the number of kilowatthours.
To determine the average monthly electricity bill, you will have to consider factors such as size of family, amount of electric usage per month, user habits, types of electrical appliances and other electric consuming appliances used in the household.
